Frequently Questions

Why does my carpet seem to get dirtier faster after I have some "Professional Carpet Cleaners"

‘Residue’
“Professional Carpet Cleaners” use  PH cleaning products to clean carpets. The use of these products create great results if used correctly, but if used incorrectly will leave the carpet high in Alkaline and will resoil the carpet faster every time they’re not Neutralized .
Basically the pre-spray they use is high in alkaline and will soften the soils that are in the carpet to make it more easily extracted , but if the pre-spray is not neutralized afterwards with a lower pH neutralizing cleaner, it leaves carpet with a high alkaline soil attracting solution.

Why can't I get my natural stone floors and countertops looking clean anymore ?

Natural stones ” Marble , Travertine, Limestone , ect. ” are porous . Over time they tend to get a lot of small scratches and scuffs from normal wear that don’t reflect the light as much. This gives the appearance that they are not clean but really just need to be polished to give then the look they had when they were new .

Additionally, stone could be absorbing water, have oil or acid based stains that need to be polished out . After that is done it is very important that the stone is sealed with a seal that protects it from oil and water based stains .

Why is it that I can get my tile clean but not my grout lines ?

You probably have a synthetic tile ‘ Porcelain or a Ceramic tile ‘ which do not tend to show dirt or staining traditionally. The grout on the other hand is very porous and can be easily discolored by water and oil base stains. It is very important to seal the grout “after a professional cleaning” with a seal that protects against both oil and water-based stains.

Will the seal change the look of my stone or grout ?

No . Not if you don’t want it to.
We seal most stone and grout with an impregnating seal that does not change the look of the stone. We feel in most cases that should be done before it is sealed, by cleaning the grout or by polishing the stone to the the customer specifications .
